Attractive seaside cottage offering beautifully updated accommodation for five guests, offering direct access to the seafront promenade in the delightful resort town of Cromer.

Hidden in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of Cromer, Crescent Cottage is a classic seaside property just a half-mile walk from the beach. Once the local doctor's house and stable, it's packed with character. Each room gives a subtle nod to its beach location, from the driftwood bannister on the landing to the horses' hay manger on the wall in the kitchen, complete with glass net floats. And with three bedrooms - one double, one single, and one twin - plus a dining table to seat six, it's perfect for a family staycation.

As a base, Cromer is fantastic, with plenty of local shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Head to the large sandy beach where you can surf, swim and paddle. Or visit the famous pier, which has a theatre where shows are staged throughout the year.

Head to the county town of Norwich (24 miles) for a spot of sightseeing or shopping, or continue exploring the seaside surroundings with a walk along the Norfolk Coast Path, which runs through Cromer to Hunstanton in the west. Enjoy dramatic views of Norfolk, from coast to country, and spot the local wildlife.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

We enjoyed our stay very much, beds were very comfortable, as were the furnishings, although only four dining chairs for a five bed property. The cottage could do with more than one pillow per bed and blackout blinds as nearby cottage has outside light on all night. We didn't miss having a garden as cottage location means you can walk anywhere fromRead more your front door and the owners have made the best of the small courtyard. A few tweaks to the cottage would make it that bit better but we would use again mainly because of the great position. Hide

A well equipped cottage. We would love to be able to go there again. The gate needs some new screws. Thank you for our great holiday.

The cottage itself was a prime location, quaint, dog friendly which is a bonus and a perfect base to explore Cromer. We loved it! Little touches such as a washing machine doesnt sound like much but when our son fell in a puddle fully clothed, it was brilliant to be able to wash our things prior to going home with dirty wet clothes. We had a really enjoyable week. Cromer is a wonderful place to spend a week - the town has everything you need whatever the weather. The walks east along the coast were superb. One of the best golf courses I've ever played. Felbrigg and Blicking are short journeys away, Norwich less than an hour We will definitely return to Cromer.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).
