This charming fisherman’s cottage boasts a central location in the village of Cley whilst backing on to the local marshes, reputed to be one of the best nature reserves in Norfolk and designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Combining light and airy space with cosy, comfortable accommodation, this two-bedroom cottage with second shower room on the ground floor provides a tranquil base from which to explore. Families, couples and friends will love this characterful cottage and its location for all it offers nearby and further afield.

Dominating the village of Cley is the enchanting 18th century windmill which stands on the edge of the marshes. Standing at the other end of town is the 13th century church alongside the village green. A wonderful deli, craft gallery, teashops and country pub can also be enjoyed within half a mile. Outdoor enthusiasts will love this location for its nature reserves, picturesque walks and enjoyable cycle routes.

There are plenty of options in the surrounding area too including one of the many National Trust properties and grounds, Bickling Estate (15 miles), the birthplace of Anne Boleyn. A wonderful property to wander and explore the surrounding estate with 4,600 acres of parkland, woodland and farmland. A day is never enough! But don’t leave this region without sampling the local cuisine. The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
