The cottage is well-placed in Docking, and surprisingly spacious. Docking is only a 10-15 minute drive of the six big beaches between Hunstanton and Wells. The cottage kitchen has a large dining table, a large stove and plenty of cooking and eating utensils. Two large sofas in the lounge, and a single armchair provided enough space at evening time.Read more The bedroom downstairs, and two upstairs slept 6 comfortably. Courtyard and off-road parking was very handy. Local walks a bonus for dog and me. Hide

Lovely cottage beautifully kept. Very quiet even though on high street. Enclosed back garden, perfect for dogs. Great location with fabulous almost deserted beaches 10 to 20 mins away.

Clean, well equipped and quality cottage in a central location. Not suitable for disabled/infirm due to big step into lounge and no walk-in shower but overall a lovely cottage. Good dog walking area nearby. Garden fully enclosed and safe for dogs/children. Large supply of logs was very welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is lovely and clean. It is perfectly positioned for exploring the beautiful area - we found loads of places to visit within 20-30 minutes drive. There is a gorgeous beach ten minutes away and a great pub fifteen minutes walk from the cottage. We were very happy! The owner is helpful and responsive.

Lovely cottage well equipped in a good area, fine for us but would be unsuitable for the infirm or small children due to steep shallow stairs to bedrooms. Downstairs bathroom not ideal

Bishops' Retreat was ideal for us, 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. Many pubs in a 4 mile radius are dog friendly and the local one does breakfasts. Great for the day you leave.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
