A traditional 200-year old fisherman’s cottage, this delightful property has some attractive period features including a large brick fireplace with a warming wood burner in the welcoming lounge/diner. Lovely cottage really close to the beach, but this made parking a bit of an issue as it was popular with dog walkers and we often came back to find nowhere to park. The local cafe (Watson's) is well worth a visit. The two local pubs were no more than average for our taste, but The Star Inn at Lessingham was fabulous. But this is obviously subjectivRead moree. Lovely little cottage right on the beach road. We went in January when very quiet. Small rear paved garden which is good for dog use. Steep stairs in cottage but not unexpected for size and age. Overall an enjoyable stay and well equipped kitchen. Take your own hairdryer.

We loved our stay in Fisherman's Cottage, it was cosy and well equipped. To walk along the lane on to stunning Bacton beach with the dog was an absolute dream! Top tips: Wonderful food & service at The Lighthouse Inn, Seal watching at Horsey & Winterton, breakfast at Poppylands Cafe, dog walks at Bacton Woods, best firewood from Richardsons SawmillRead more (Walsham), Ingham Farm shop for veg etc, friendly service for a drink or 3 at the Poachers Pocket a short walk (turn right) just along the beach! The cottage is in an excellent location, with lots to see and do nearby and the proximity of Bacton beach is fantastic. We recommend a visit to Bacton woods, nearby Happisburg and the local Watsons Cafe. Other great eateries are Kingfisher Cafe for fish & chips and The Lighthouse Inn at Walcott. However we were a little underwhelmed with the generaRead morel condition of the property as it seemed very tired. The garden was wonderfully private and a real sun trap despite it being so close to the coast. Hide
