You won't find a better spot for a coastal escape in North Norfolk - at high tide Flagstaff Cottage is literally yards from the water! It offers far-reaching views over the marshes and the creek, which is why the cottage has been designed as an ‘upside-down' house, with the three bedrooms located on the ground floor and living areas on the first. Outside, you'll find a large garden shared with Flagstone Boathouse next door, which the cottage also shares a connecting door with - perfect for large groups as the two can be rented together to provide accommodation for 12 guests

Explore the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where Burnham Overy Staithe is nestled. Walk the part of the Norfolk Coast Path as it stretches along 84 miles of coastline, or simply walk one mile to the secluded beach, approached over the sand dunes. The coastline is beautifully unspoilt, with sand and sea stretching as far as the eye can see.

For a more ‘bucket and spade' type beach, visit Wells-next-the-Sea (4.5 miles). Wander the quaint harbour or paddle in the cool North Sea waters. Another fantastic day trip is at Scolt Head Island's nature reserve, which you can reach by ferry.

Lots of space, with great views over the Staithe and marsh. The Hero pub was a big bonus.....friendly, good food, and only a short 3 minute walk away. Only one shower in the three bathrooms.....the other 2 bathrooms only had hand held sprays over baths, which was unusual.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
