A super-comfortable holiday property from which you can enjoy dazzling sea views, big skies and a great location in the heart of North Norfolk’s most rewarding region.

Boasting outstanding views across the Staithe, Creek, and marshes at Burnham Overy Staithe, Flagstaff East offers an idyllic retreat for families looking for a waterfront holiday. In fact, at high tide, you couldn't be closer to the water - it's literally yards away. Flagstaff East is one half of a large house, with Flagstaff West being the other half. For larger parties, book the two together; for a family of five though Flagstaff East is perfect, with three bedrooms and a spacious living room to relax in.

If you're not spending your evenings relaxing in front of the open fireplace, visit the local pub and mingle with the locals, which is just yards away. By day though, visit the village's secluded beach (also just yards!) Step over the dunes and be greeted by the sprawling sands, which stretch as far as you can see. You can even walk to Wells-next-the-Sea along the Norfolk Coast Path (7 miles).

From the village you can climb aboard a ferry to Scolt Head Island - a fantastic National Nature Reserve where you'll find an abundance of wildlife. Why not take a picnic and spend an hour or so enjoying the sights?

We were pleasantly surprised that the cottage was clean. Perfect location with lovely views upstairs. Fresh bed linen and new white towels. The carpets upstairs are particularly worn and the stairs are an accident waiting to happen. Bed comfy. Kitchen well equipped, could do with some decent sized mugs! This is an outstanding location for those interested in walking and birdwatching. The cottage is comfortable and reasonably spacious but the ground floor bathroom is a disadvantage especially as the stairs are steep and narrow. For this reason I cannot recommend the cottage for use by the. elderly or infirm. Young children will have to be carefullyRead more supervised. Some of the furnishings are tired and some redecoration is required. Hide

The property is in a perfect location and enjoys views over the creek from two bedrooms. Downstairs is well equipped and comfortable. We would have no hesitation in returning. However.....Extremely steep, shallow tread stairs lead to the upper floor. I would not advise anyone with young children or elderly/infirm to consider staying .Bedrooms are tiRead morered and whilst clean are in need of serious update. WiFi signal is very poor and would only work in the kitchen. Mobile signal is non existent. Hide

The cottage is in a fantastic location convenient for walks to the beach. The cleanliness of the property was very poor. There was gunk around the taps, lots of dust and cobwebs, the outside table was covered in bird excrement and there were lots of other areas that needed a good clean. It looked like the property hadnt been cleaned in months. The Read moreloo seat was broken. The starter pack for the cottage was very minimal So take your own basics. The overall spec was poor for the price. Hide

This property is in need of renovation. The single bathroom is inadequate for 5 people and WiFi is poor! The room sizes are good and the location superb!

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
