  • Peaceful cottage surrounded by farm land situated 1.5 mile from a quiet secluded pebble beach
  • Private garden with lawn and seating area, offering space to relax
  • An excellent location for exploring the whole North Norfolk coast and countryside
Property code: NCC25

This charming end of terrace, stone cottage is a delightful conversion of the old dairy, situated in the conservation village of Kelling, half a mile from the Norfolk coast. A traditional feel runs throughout the property with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, while wooden floorboards and a bright colour give it a cheerful touch. A farmhouse-style kitchen and unusual wrap-around garden and courtyard make this the perfect holiday destination for a small family looking for a seaside holiday.

Set in a lovely tranquil location, you are under a mile from Kelling Beach and a gentle stroll through marshland and farmland will take you to this secluded Norfolk haven. Afternoons are made for popping down to the village tea room for some warm scones filled with clotted cream and strawberry jam and a steaming pot of tea: a welcome distraction if you have spent all your pennies at the quaint village bookshop.

Further afield, you will find the traditional seaside resorts of Sheringham (4.5 miles) with its fabulous beach, heritage steam railway and park, and Cromer (10 miles), home to a famous pier and fun attractions. Under a mile away is the famous Muckleburgh Military Collection, a fantastic assortment of tanks and weaponry situated on a former military camp, and the Georgian town of Holt with its charming cafes and leafy courtyards is a 4-mile drive from the cottage.

Location is lovely, but the cottage is smaller than the booking info suggests. Apart from the kitchen the furnishings and facilities are pretty basic, especially in the lounge, and the whole place is in need of some TLC. No visitors' book so do your own research for places to eat etc.

Lovely place to stay to explore the north coast and walks for dogs. House clean but in need of a refresh as very tired. Kitchen equipment could be better . Visitors book would be great to see where other guests recommend for pubs/ walks etc .

This cottage is in a beautiful village with no thru traffic. It is located off the road overlooking fields. The gardens are lovely and well kept but the property is tired inside and out and in need of some cosmetic updating. Bedrooms are a good size and the bed linen good quality.

The cottage is situated in a really lovely location with a pleasant garden and some lovely walks. As other reviews suggest we did find the cottage a bit on the tatty side and no wifi did turn out to be quite an issue for us. We were a bit disappointed looking at the adjoining properties which had been renovated. I would visit the location again butRead more would very likely look at booking the property next door! Nice walks from here. Disappointed that the place was rather shabby, with cupboard doors not closing properly and drawers falling apart and being difficult to open / close.
