A charming cottage that was once a dairy building, surrounded by open countryside, in the quiet coastal village of Kelling, offering the ideal base to explore the wonders of North Norfolk.

Fantastically located in Kelling, explore the coast of North Norfolk from your door. This charming cottage welcomes you inside after beach days spent at Sheringham, seal spotting at Blakeney Nature Reserve and strolls along the Norfolk Coast Path. Transform the heart of the home into a cosy haven by lighting the wood burner and relax in style to prepare for the next adventure. The enclosed garden makes this the perfect home for small families holidaying with their four-pawed sidekick.

Wander the garden path and step through the front door where you are greeted by elegant country style. Sandwiched between rows of books and a TV/DVD, the roaring wood burner sits in a charming brick fireplace which beautifully complements the tranquil ambience in the lounge. After a moment of peace and quiet on the sofa, rustle up treats in the gorgeous kitchen/diner where neutral hues and exposed beams create a fresh feel. Dine at the table before taking a cold drink outside to the pretty, south-facing garden where you can soak up the last of the sun’s rays and let little ones and the pup run free. Quirky sloped, low ceilings continue the charm on the first floor where the landing leads to two bedrooms, one with access to the bed from one side only, and the family shower room where you can get your day off to a refreshing start.

Leave the car behind and board the local ‘coastal hopper’ bus to visit the handful of gorgeous beaches and vibrant villages which line the Norfolk Coast AONB. Sheringham (4.5 miles) and Cromer (8.5 miles) are great destinations for beach days and there are areas of Sheringham which welcome dogs all year round. For a stretch of the legs and ocean views, hop on the coastal path for an exhilarating walk before tucking into a meal in the Georgian town of Holt (3 miles).

A well equipped and cosy cottage. Many places to visit nearby, our favourites were Sheringham Park, Cley, Wells Next Sea and Cliff walks at both Weybourne and Cromer. The Partridge Hotel is close by (half a mile) and does a very nice lunch. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Gable End cottage is lovely- so comfortable and was spotlessly clean on arrival (must congratulate the change over/cleaning service, they do an impressive job). The addition of a salad spinner and a vegetable steamer would make this cottage pretty much 10 out of 10 (oh and perhaps extra bin bags for the bin under sink.
