A perfect property for all seasons. In the winter, fall in love with the wood burner, exuding warmth, and in the summer, try and tear yourself away from the shared hot tub and sit by the estate’s lake and river. On a working farm, this gorgeous open-plan layout and bright, comfortable interiors provide an idyllic getaway. With one double bedroom and one single, the property is perfect for families with a child and there is even room for the dog, too.

East Harling is a quiet, country village home to a tearoom, pub, butchers and village shop. On the edge of the Brecks, the lodge is in a fantastic position for exploring both Norfolk and Suffolk. Spanning nearly 400 square miles, the Brecks are home to a wealth of wonderful wildlife and beautiful scenery. Choose one of the many trails weaving through Thetford Forest and revitalise in the country air.

8 miles from Thetford, a trip to the Dad’s Army Museum is a must, as is Thetford Priory (10 miles), the fascinating remains of an East Anglian monastery. For a change in perspective, Thetford’s Go Ape provides fun for all the family. 15 miles away, Grimes Graves is an English Heritage site with 433 Neolithic flint mines.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a very lovely break in the lodge. The owners are very friendly & helpful. We loved the log burner especially as we went in February. Had a nice walk up the river & the lake looks lovely. Its a nice location if you are a bird watch like us, with all the birding sites within driving distance, the village has a lovely butchers, & Nags head pub Read moreservice gorgeous home cooked food Hide
