Ideally situated in charming Blakeney, nestled on the Norfolk coast, this pretty detached cottage makes a fantastic base for a family or friendship group looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday in tranquil surroundings.

Take a boat trip out from Blakeney or Morston, 1 mile away, to see the seals bobbing in the water and lolling about on the sand. Blakeney Point is home to the country’s largest breeding grey seal colony and, with over 3,000 pups born every year, you are highly likely to see some little ones. This three-bedroom cottage, which sleeps up to five guests and has a sizeable garden, is located in the village in an ideal position for anyone who loves wildlife watching and coastal walks. Stroll out along the 4-mile shingle spit of Blakeney Point or pick up the Norfolk Coast Path and walk 7.5 miles to Wells-next-the-Sea.

Let yourselves into the single-storey, brick and flint holiday home. Find yourselves in the lounge, where you can unwind together after your exhilarating walks and perhaps find a film to enjoy on the TV or DVD player. Head through to the kitchen/diner to make a cup of tea to enjoy with the Norfolk cake you have bought at a local farm shop. Prepare dinner in here too then call everyone to the table. As night falls, run yourself a long, hot bubble bath in the family bathroom then head off to the twin, double or single bedroom. Spend sunny afternoons in the garden. Fire up the BBQ and sizzle supper in the sunshine. You have access to an external utility room with a washing machine and parking for three cars.

Drive 5 miles to Stiffkey to walk out across the beautiful marshes towards the sea. Venture 8 miles to vibrant Wells-next-the-Sea for a day on the beach, to potter in the shops and perhaps take a trip on the light railway. Head 5.5 miles into bustling Holt to choose between its fine eateries and to shop for fresh, local produce.

I think the main oven element was not working so no heat on the basic fan over setting. We were able to use the fan and grill setting though to cook ok

A nice comfortable property in a good location (shops, quay and restaurants all within easy walking distance). Equipment apart from shower good and there is wifi despite no mention of it on website. Overall ambience somewhat spoilt by lack of attention to deep cleanliness (cobwebs and dust in corners and areas not immediately apparent, and windows Read morenot clean inside or out). Hide

A lovely, clean, warm holiday home. Probably one of the best equipped we've stayed in. Perfect quiet location. Great location for exploring Norfolk. Hope to stay again.

A lovely spacious, well equipped bungalow. Plenty of heaters to back up the storage radiators, if needed, made it very cosy. Quiet and peaceful. Very convenient for walking and watching birds and wildlife. Well stocked shop 5 mins away. It is a little step back in time with the furniture which adds to its charm. We are hoping to return next year.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
