Delightful accommodation in a waterside location with private mooring, fishing by licence from the bottom of the garden and unfenced access to river. Beach 12 miles, restaurant and shops within walking distance.

This accommodation is a rare find: a holiday cottage with its own private mooring on the Norfolk Broads. Attached to the owner’s home, this single-storey property is a bijou waterside retreat which would be ideal for enjoying a quiet couple’s break. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is an excellent space to relax particularly when you can throw open the patio doors onto the private garden and direct access to the water.

Situated in Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, this cottage is conveniently situated for all that the town has to offer. There are numerous boat hire agencies in the town, as well as an excellent range of shops which are great for stocking up on picnic supplies before heading out for a day on the water. Or for a change of scene, take the steam train from Wroxham across the countryside to Aylsham.

The beautiful Broads are awash with quaint villages which are fantastic for spending an afternoon in a sunny beer garden watching the boats go by. However, Wroxham is just 12 miles from the coast with numerous beaches within easy reach, including those at Waxham and Caister-on-Sea. For a day of culture and shopping, head 9 miles south to Norwich.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
