Booked a weeks stay at kingfisher hut. We knew the hut would be small, that wasn't a problem. The problem was none of the windows could be opened. During our stay temperatures ranged from 32-38 degrees, the heat was unbearable without being able to open windows. Another big problem was constant daily noise from near by race circuit ( motor bike racRead moreing everyday) and also constant barking from boarding kennels located in same lane, not a peaceful holiday at all, not worth the money. Staying in a Shepherd's Hut was a lovely experience. Everything we needed was provided including a few lovely touches which added to our enjoyment. The view from the deck was amazing, we loved the daily visit from the geese. We got out and about every day, and all in all returned home a lot more chilled than when we arrived. We loved sitting outside this small unique hut . Saw kingfishers & heard unusual birds all day. A family of geese visited us throughout the day. Locally the walks are beautiful and monk Jack dear are seen every day. A quiet place to stay, however, the weekends can be noisy as there is a race track close by. We stayed in the Kingfisher Hut, very cute and well appointed. We sat on our deck every day (weather permitting!) and every day we were visited by a family of geese. It was a very relaxing few days in beautiful surroundings.

I really enjoyed my short break at Kingfisher Hut. The space is bijou, but has what you need. I spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the views and birdwatching, including an early morning experience of the wonderful dawn chorus. It made for the relaxing few days I needed. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Such a picturesque and charming place to stay. The hut had everything that you would need with a lovely little tea and coffee station equipped with milk and biscuits. The place heated up lovely for our wet and rainy get away and we had a delicious meal at the local pub. Well worth the money.
