This property offers an inimitable location being based on a former USA Air Force combat wing with a range of fascinating antique pieces on display. Set in countryside grounds belonging to the property’s owners, towards the centre of Norfolk, it provides a great base from which to explore both the surrounding countryside and coast. With beautiful features as part of the master bedroom; a spacious and relaxed living space and stunning countryside views from the enclosed garden with BBQ, this cottage offers a great getaway for a couple or family of three.

Within the complex itself, there are fascinating murals on the walls, transporting you to life in the 1940s. The quiet nature of the surrounding area lends itself beautifully to tranquil strolls and peaceful reflection or you could discover the landscape on two wheels.

For a more active day out, consider a trip out with the Coastal Exploration Co. who offer life-enriching adventures through creeks, marshes and seas on wooden sailing boats – all tailored to fit your needs. They can be found approximately 30 miles away in Wells-next-to-the-Sea. Otherwise make the journey to the coast and enjoy some fish and chips with the setting sun.

Superb in every way, beautifully finished, a credit to the owners. Quiet location, a bit out of the way but this made it very peaceful. Our 'Goldy' loved the garden which is very well kept and totally enclosed. Five stars with no reservations.

The cottages was spacious and had excellent heating and double glazing. The furnishings were first class. Parking was adjacent to the cottage and there was a large garden and a patio with seating for warmer weather. Everything was supplied so all we had to do was buy food. The owners were friendly and kept a low profile. The history of the site gavRead moree it an added interest. Hide

Location

Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
