This modern take on a traditional Norfolk farm building offers light, space and plenty of home comforts both inside and out.

No 3 Malthouse Court in the coastal village of Thornham, is a spacious terraced cottage built approximately 20 years ago in traditional brick and chalk lump (clunch) style. As part of a conversion of former farm buildings it really shines with character. The property has been tastefully furnished to make a comfortable 'home from home'. Inside feels spacious and airy with plenty of living space to spend time as a family or group of friends.

Sit out in the pleasant garden surrounded by beautiful shrubs and small trees. Parking for two cars is off road behind the garden. Located not far from the Home Dunes natural nature reserve, Thornham marsh and close to the Norfolk Coastal path, there is so much to see right on your doorstep. Take time out from sight-seeing to sample the delights of the local dishes at nearby The Orange Tree Inn and Restaurant, The Chequers Inn or pick up some nibbles at the Thornham Deli.

14 miles away, experience the splendour of Sandringham Estate with its fascinating house, museum and garden or if it's near Christmas, take the family hound to Dersingham in the hope that he might get a whiff of royalty – rumoured to be the place they celebrate at Christmas.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

I slept in the master bedroom overlooking the back garden, which was excellent. The conservatory was a lovely place to dine and as I was on my own and did not dine out for dinner, I ate all of my meals in here. I have stayed in Thornham on previous occasions, which is good for walking along the coast path and towards the beach - simply walk down GrRead moreeen Lane and continue - the dog liked it too. Our favourite walks are the Holkham Estate, which is only a short drive away. Hide

Lovely en-suite and downstairs loo. But the whole place could have done with a proper clean. dead flies on window sill and crumbs under bread bin, Shame. Mattress uncomfortable.

Lovely cottage, spacious and comfortable with a lovely garden. As we had small children with us, the stair gate and highchair were an unexpected bonus. We will definitely recommend Malthouse Court to friends and family.

We had a lovely 4 generation family holiday at this property. The cottage is fully equipped with absolutely everything you need. Just need to be aware of the noisy main road to the front.

The cottage is spacious and well-equipped, and in a good location for walks and beaches, great for dog owners. The area is very Covid-aware, e.g. sanitiser, signage, distancing. The A149 does run close to the front of the property and traffic speeds up as it leaves the village. Not a problem in the garden and conservatory, but the front bedroom winRead moredows had to be closed for sleep. Beds and linen were clean and fresh. Hide
