This enchanting little bolthole is situated in the grounds of the historic Abbey House in Binham, just 5 miles from the North Norfolk coastline. Beautifully furnished but still managing to retain its original charm, the one-bedroomed stone cottage is the perfect romantic country escape. A spacious sitting room with sunroom gives lovely views out to the lawns and cottage garden full of traditional lilacs and roses, as well as a little summer house. Under half a mile to the nearest pub and shop, the cottage is perfectly placed to enjoy this pretty village. Mentioned in the Domesday book, it has the monastic ruins of the spectacular Benedictine St. Mary’s Priory nearby, now managed by English Heritage. The cottage is a well maintained, clean & delightful property. The village of Binham is quiet & fairly remote but it is ideally located for access to everywhere along the coast from Hunstanton to Cromer & other places of interest inland all within a 45 minute drive. I would highly recommend this property to anyone choosing North Norfolk as their hoRead moreliday location. Hide

A lovely cottage for two people. The furnishings are of very good quality. Lots of games, books etc supplied if you get bored. One thing we found not so good - there is a fairly big step going down into the living room/kitchen from the hallway. Although there is a warning sign, my husband almost fell down until he got used to it being there. The baRead moreck door opens onto a nice little patio area which has a table and two chairs. A sun umbrella is provided. The area is very quiet, with no road noise. Hide

We found the property well equipped and in a quiet location, close to the village pub which served meals most days. The local diary has a parlour which serves breakfasts, morning coffee etc. Again within easy walking distance. We would certainly recommend this property to any future guests.
