Monks Cottage is set in a quiet lane and overlooks the parish church of South Creake. The property has undergone complete renovation to provide a very cosy and stylish traditional country cottage. Built of traditional brick and flint, this end-of-row cottage is an ideal base for exploring the area or just relaxing away from it all, any time of the year. The stairs up to the bedrooms are steep so not suitable for very young children or those with limited mobility.

With pleasant outside space, the cottage is situated in the lovely, peaceful village of South Creake with a great pub a ten-minute walk away and a shop and supermarket within a 10-minute drive. It is also very conveniently located for the seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea and the thriving location Burnham Market which has a great range of shops, eateries and galleries to explore.

If you want to venture further, 6.5 miles away is the market town of Fakenham; visit on a Thursday to experience the Charter Market and see the whole town come to life. Also, 6.5 miles, but in the other direction have more of a bucket-and-spade day in the lovely seaside resort of Wells-next-the-Sea: build a sandcastle, dip your toes in the water or have a fish-and-chip stroll along the harbour.

A lovely welcoming cottage ....helped along by the thoughtful welcome pack. The peaceful setting was a delight especially in the morning sun with a coffee in the garden. The kids loved watching the bunnies hopping around the green area in the village. It was a wonderful place to stay for our first trip to Norfolk. Brancaster was our fave beach to gRead moreo to (sandy beach, car park next to beach& cafe /kiosk), although other beaches were also equally accessible! Great crabbing at Wells Harbour too Hide

Monks Cottage is in an idyllic location, very peaceful and with a beautiful outlook to Our Lady St Mary. Its nicely furnished, with a comfy leather suite in the sitting room, lots of books and some very nice pictures. Bathroom is spacious and the shower works well. Kitchen is well equipped, though some egg cups would be nice. The breakfast bar is aRead more little cramped for more than two. The beds are comfortable. The staircase is quite steep and curved, perhaps a challenge to the less mobile. Hide

Lovely location. Cottage quite pleasant. A warning for older renters that the staircase is very difficult and both bedrooms are upstairs with the bathroom on the main floor. The church and village were lovely and the abbey food hall is recommended highly for lunch.
