A beautiful farmhouse with adjacent cottage offering stylish and spacious accommodation for twelve guests, situated in the well-appointed village of Snettisham, just 3.5 miles from the Norfolk coast.

The Old Farmhouse and Cottage is situated in an idyllic location, with far-reaching views over farmland and the village of Snettisham. Whilst retaining the Georgian features, the farmhouse has been completely and tastefully refurbished and as three reception rooms, four bedrooms (two with en-suite) an additional family bathroom & laundry room plus a bespoke, hand-painted kitchen with gas fired Aga. The adjoining cottage has 3 more bedrooms and another bathroom and whilst comfortable and well-equipped, has not been renovated to the same extent.

 

Outside is a fully enclosed beautiful front and rear garden, stocked with mature trees and plants, with summerhouse, seating and BBQ facilities; perfect for large group celebrations. Less than quarter of a mile from the property there are good local shops and a range of pubs plus a farmers' market held on the second Friday of every month

 

Snettisham is a lovely rural village between King's Lynn and Hunstanton and within easy reach of all the North Norfolk beaches and villages. It is only 4 miles from Sandringham Estate, offering wonderful walks in its landscaped gardens and grounds and 3 miles from the closest beach in Snettisham with the very popular beaches of Hunstanton and Brancaster at 5 and 11 miles respectively.

Around 3.5 miles outside Snettisham is an RSPB reserve and quiet shingle beach that's great for bracing seaside walks, while 5 miles up the coast is Hunstanton. This popular resort town has a family-friendly sandy beach, plus a promenade land train and Sea Life Sanctuary with penguins, turtles and seals. If you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from the lively seafront of the main town, stroll to neighbouring Old Hunstanton for a quieter vibe. Elsewhere, sniff out adventure at Norfolk Lavender (3 miles), which not only has fragrant fields but animal gardens and a play park too.

The house is fabulous, the sheer space amazing.Equipped to the highest standard with every culinary need catered for, the house provided a superb base for a family gathering. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The location perfect and all areas easily accessible.We had a great time all together with enough space for everyone.

Perfect accommodation for active family. Decor and constant hot water brilliant. Cottage bedrooms small, stairs steep but manageable. Farmhouse is very spacious. Kitchen well equipped with Aga cooker.

See above. Apart from the hordes of summer flies in the kitchen and getting used to cooking on an Aga, it is a spacious well-furnished house for a large party and the garden is beautiful. A car is necessary to get to a sandy beach and to the many places of interest in this quiet, lovely part of Norfolk.
