The Old Forge is a converted forge from when the existing farm had its own blacksmith in the 1930's. It has been renovated to a high standard and combines the best of the traditional with the more modern essentials. It is located on a working farm alongside similar self-catering properties. The exposed beams, rustic charm and surrounding countryside feel make this the perfect location for a rural retreat. The interior is beautifully open-plan with the double bed on the mezzanine floor overlooking the living area.

Outside of the property is a patio area with seating to enjoy a peaceful glass of wine whilst the children take advantage of the shared games room. If you don't fancy cooking take a ten-minute drive to the local pub or stock up on essentials at the local shop.

Further afield, the forge is just 11.5 miles from beautiful Brancaster beach offering miles of unspoilt golden sands and glimpses of a shipwreck when the tide is out. Explore Her Majesty's Sandringham Estate (12.5 miles) where you can while away a few hours discovering the house, museum and gardens before returning to your property to relax.

Fabulous cottage, comfortable and clean. Great location to some gorgeous beaches and towns. Kids (and adults!) loved the games room. Would stay again!

Had a brilliant week. The cottage was lovely and a great location for visiting the whole of north Norfolk (and free air shows on a daily basis). The games room was a massive bonus. Couldn't fault a thing.

Wonderful, cosy, welcoming and quite near to everything that could be visited. So many varied beaches are close at hand.

We had a really lovely stay at the Old Forge over New Year; the cottage is beautiful and quirky, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The games room was a nice touch. The location is great for exploring the Norfolk coast line. Couldnt recommend this place highly enough.

This is a lovely comfy cottage that served as a great base to get out to visit towns and beaches. The staff were excellent and only to happy to help.

Loved the cottage as a whole. Great location with walking areas if desired. Andy's shop close by for needed items. The local pub in the next village has a children's menu & is dog friendly. "The Crown Inn." Norfolk is a county with plenty to see & do.

Lovely setting and ideal for rye dog with the enclosed garden. Problems with internet access for the last 3days were not resolved so not so easy to research and book admission or activities, which was inconvenient.

Advert stated this was within 1 mile from the nearest pub, it was not. It was 1.7 miles down one of the busiest roads I've seen, not walkable at all. Other than that we had a very enjoyable holiday, everything you need is there.

Fantastic week away, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Very relaxed environment and our sons enjoyed the games room in the evenings. Lovely to receive a welcome pack of milk, eggs, bread, cakes and biscuits. Plenty to do and see in Norfolk. Tescos about 10 mins away which was great. Would definitely return again. Plenty of parking.
