This charming and cosy semi-detached holiday cottage nestles in the heart of a delightful harbour town on the Norfolk coast, and is a lovely base for a family looking to explore this beautiful region.

Regal Cottage, so called as up until 1973 it was Well-next-the-Sea's Regal Cinema, is now a characterful, semi-detached cottage on a quiet road offering immaculate family accommodation, with the added benefit of an enclosed rear shingled courtyard garden, plus a parking space nearby - a real bonus in Wells. Perfect for a relaxing family or adult beach holiday.

Get up and take the dog for a walk down to the quay each morning for a breath of fresh air or wander into the centre to grab a few pastries from the local delicatessen for a big breakfast. Take a train ride down to the sandy beach where you can enjoy traditional British holiday by swimming in the sea and tucking into salty fish and chips.

If you're looking to explore outside of this traditional seaside community then next door (less than 2 miles) you'll find the spectacular Holkham Nature Reserve and Beach and the Holkham Hall is only 3 miles from the cottage, wander through and admire the intricate artwork and grandiose architecture. Take a boat to Blakeney Point from Blakeney (8 miles) to spot seals or head down 10 miles to explore the unique village of Thursford.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Excellent cottage in the heart of Wells. We didn't use the garden much as it was a bit cramped, but the cottage itself was roomy, clean and well equipped.

A beautifully presented property in an amazing location. It is so good to go to a property that is well maintained and has plenty of self catering equipment. Comfortable seating and dining arrangements with lovely outdoor seating and a great bbq. The house is walking distance to the harbour and shops and the parking space is a bonus. No welcome pacRead morek but the Nisa shop is as well stocked as any supermarket and is only at the end of the road. We loved our stay. Hide

Another fantastic New Year in Wells. The Crab House was the best. First time at Regal Cottage and the best one we have stayed in after coming to Wells for the last 10 years.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
