This wonderful, modern bungalow offers a family or three couples the perfect holiday home in the picturesque coastal village of Blakeney.

Simply relax when you arrive at this gorgeous, modern holiday home in the coastal village of Blakeney. Less than 500 metres from the quay, from which you can take a trip to see the seals, this is a simply magical location for a Norfolk break. Sleeping up to six guests, and two happy hounds, the three-bedroom, single-storey property is perfect for a family stay. It is in a superb setting for reaching the great sandy beaches of Wells-next-the-Sea, 8 miles away, and Holkham, 10 miles away. Relax in your leafy garden afterwards as you plan the following day’s adventure.

Wander into the reception hall at this bright, modern retreat, which has an inviting, colourful interior. Head into the chic kitchen/diner to make a cup of tea. Make the most of the high specification equipment to prepare dinner later on, with the local shellfish and freshly picked samphire you have bought. Dine together in here or out in the sunshine. You have a utility room adjacent. Spend evenings together in the lounge area, with the wood burner crackling or the doors open onto the garden, depending on the season. Watch a film on the Smart TV before heading off to one of the three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom. Outside, make the most of the excellent garden space as often as the weather permits. You also have parking for two cars.

Plan day trips to the traditional, Victorian seaside towns of Sheringham, 9 miles away, and Cromer, 13 miles away, where you will find restaurants and pubs serving famous Cromer crab. Walk on the marshes at Stiffkey, 5 miles away, with its abundance of wildlife, and visit splendid Holkham Hall, 10.5 miles away, where you can wander through 3,000 acres of parkland.

Another lovely Easter break at Samphire Retreat. We booked again after a great stay last year, and had a wonderful time again. The house is perfect for our family of 4, has everything and more that we need, is spacious and comfortable, and in fact we spent one full day inside due to bad weather and still had a lovely day due to the house (and facilRead moreities) being so lovely. Just enjoyed a great family Easter holiday at Samphire Retreat. The house is spacious and very comfortable with all the mod cons and equipment you might need - Great for a family of 4, including one teenager and a feral 7yo who greatly appreciated the space, games, books and satellite TV on the one rainy day we stayed in. Lovely Bungalow. All you could,ask for. Only improvement would be some more mirrors in the bedrooms and a long mirror praps in the hall. All that being said we would definately re visit as our 4 days were perfect. Great location and Blakeney is a little treasure of village.

Lovely holiday home, spotlessly clean, spacious & comfortable. A lot of equipment available, crockery, glasses etc but some minor things such as cleaning products missing. The wardrobe in one bedroom is in use by the owners so no hanging space is available, ok for a couple of days but not ideal for longer. There are no mirrors in 2 bedrooms or the Read morehall so hair drying is challenging! The location is great & we loved the area. We would be happy to return again. Hide

Our stay was in the house was great! Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. Blakeney was a lovely place and the Quay a short walk away. Facilities in the house were just what we needed and nothing missing to add to our stay. Our main requirements were frankly all met. This was the second time we stayed here. A very comfortable property and well equipped. We needed a safe and secure garden for the dogs, which it was. Ideally situated for walking etc.

Lovely, spacious and comfortable modern bungalow , very well equipped in a quiet turning within walking distance of Blakeney Quay. Ample room to park two cars at the front of the property. Great location within easy reach of many of North Norfolks best beaches.

Samphire Retreat is just as described. It is a home from home and the owners have left us wanting to return, it is surprisingly spacious and well equipped, all living spaces and bedrooms are comfortable. It is ideally placed in Blackney only a few minutes from the Quay and the most stunning walks.

Great location, easy access to Blakney village and surrounding areas. This property allows you to have a great base for visiting Holkham Hall and Sandringham as well as the North Norfolk Coast. The cottage is quiet and in a lovely position when my son entered all he could say was wow!

The property is ideal for two couples, and the location is perfect for a tranquil or active walking holiday. The garden is enclosed and the interior is suitably designed for anyone bringing dogs. Blakeney is a lovely village with its own quay and a lot of history and lovely architecture. It has a number of good drinking and eating pubs and hotels, Read moreand is ideally placed for walking along the coast to other villages.
