A contemporary styled larch-clad lodge offering stylish accommodation for two guests: an ideal place to enjoy a relaxed retreat just a short stroll from the beach.

This detached larch clad lodge is nestled in the East Norfolk coastal village of Overstrand, a picturesque village known for its fine views of the ocean from its cliff-top position. Topped by a living roof planted with sedum plants, this modern lodge is perfect for a couples’ getaway with one elegant bedroom and one bathroom. The open-plan living space is light and airy with natural light streaming in through the patio doors, and on chillier evenings there is a warming wood burner to cosy up in front of. On a fine day enjoy al fresco meals under the beautiful magnolia tree on the south-facing patio.

Couples who enjoy leisurely strolls by the sea will be pleased to note the lodge is less than half a mile from a sandy beach; a much quieter alternative to the bustling stretch of sand at nearby Cromer. There is an excellent pub also half a mile away with a fantastic menu of home-cooked meals, situated next to the village shop with post office. The cliff-top café in the village is another lovely spot to enjoy a spot of lunch with breathtaking sea views.

Cromer is the nearest town just around the coast (2.5 miles), with excellent fish and chip shops, as well as a selection of restaurants, a traditional pier, attractions and a wide sandy beach. The famous Blakeney Point is 17 miles away with its colony of great seals to admire, while the city of Norwich is 22.5 miles away with its magnificent cathedral, fantastic shopping and eateries.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Excellent property. Clean, modern and well-equipped. Owner nearby and able to help out quickly when there was a minor problem. Location good, a few minutes walk to the beach and plenty of local walks for a dog too and the enclosed garden an extra bonus for canine owners. Very much enjoyed my stay.

Sedum Lodge is a bijou holiday base, set in a quiet quaint seaside village. We got a generous and friendly welcome, and found we were ideally situated for taking lovely walks, exploring north and mid Norfolk, and sampling the bounty of seafood the area has on offer.

Very modern, very clean, well equipped & a very quite location that was easily found. It was very dog friendly, even down to having doggie poo bags. Had absolutely everything you would require. All we needed to take was ourselves, our clothes and food. Owners were on site and very friendly and helpful. Made our holiday perfect.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
