A contemporary-style single-storey cottage offering stylish accommodation for two guests, situated in the attractive grounds of Stody Hall and offering a private patio garden.

Located in the grounds of Stody Hall, this stylish property is a peaceful rural retreat set amidst North Norfolk’s finest rolling countryside. Ideally suited to couples who want to get away from it all, the accommodation is all on one level and features a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner complete with beamed ceiling, while the bedroom, situated just off the living space, is a tranquil place to unwind with its super-king size bed and dual-aspect windows. On a sunny day, there’s nowhere better to relax than on the private patio: there is access to the patio from the neighbouring property, but this is secured and private whenever the two are booked separately.

From the front door of this accommodation, there are a plethora of footpaths to enjoy a refreshing walk and the adjoining Stody Estate has 10 acres of colourful rhododendron and azalea gardens to explore. Whether your interests are stately homes, National Trust properties, wildlife, golf, cycling or sandy beaches, this part of Norfolk offers something for everyone.

For a bite to eat, the Georgian town of Holt is 4 miles north of the house with quaint, narrow streets lined with independent shops, antique emporiums and eateries. The bustling village of Cley-next-the-Sea offers a shingle beach (7 miles), to the west of which the nature reserve at Blakeney is home to a colony of grey seals who can be seen basking on the rocks, while the seemingly endless golden sands of Holkham are 16 miles away.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
