A quaint period cottage located in the picturesque town of Holt: a relaxed retreat for three guests offering a private courtyard garden in the heart of the town.

Situated in Holt, one of Norfolk’s best-loved towns, this traditional cottage offers character, charm and comfort. The inviting lounge is the perfect place to relax with a sumptuously soft sofa and crackling wood burner, while the modestly sized patio garden provides the perfect spot for a morning coffee as the sun begins to rise. Perfect for a couple or small family, there is one double and one single room upstairs, plus a bathroom. Please note there is no shower.

The pretty town of Holt is a place that you can wander around all day, just enjoying its quaint streets lined with Georgian facades and hidden yards boasting independent shops, cafes and antique emporiums. To see the surrounding countryside from a different perspective, hop on one of the steam trains at Holt Station, a stopping point for the North Norfolk Railway line, or if you prefer to explore by foot or by bike, the Holt Country Park is 1 mile away with a lovely woodland and heathland area.

The coast is only 4 miles away from the cottage when you fancy a day on the beach, as is Baconsthorpe Castle, for those interested in local history. Sheringham Park also makes a great day out (5 miles), with its renowned collection of colourful rhododendrons and azaleas, colour coded walks and a packed calendar of National Trust events throughout the year.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Good base for exploring north Norfolk coast. Cottage welcomes dogs but outside space is very small. Parking is a short stroll away near allotments, but felt safe.

Holt is a good location for visiting the many seaside resorts - 20 minutes to Cromer (nice English family resort), 30 to Holkham (fantastic beach, though a fair trek to get there! also 9 for parking is a bit steep)

A delightful cottage, right in the centre of Holt, yet close enough to the sea and sights of north Norfolk. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
