Good location for the town, everything is close by. It probably takes between 30-45min to walk to the beach, but a nice walk. If you have a dog that is frightened of loud noises possibly not the best place to stay, as lots of overhead jets which our dog thought was thunder! However, the beaches are wonderful and you can drive a little a little furtRead moreher west and it seemed quieter. If you have a family a great place to stay, kids would love it Hide

Lots of nice things about this cottage, particularly if you want to the in the centre of Wells. I hope the owner sorts out a few of the niggles, which would make the place outstanding.

Our Christmas holiday was lovely. The cottage was comfortable and a great location. Was surprised to see a real Christmas tree and a bag of decorations. It was a really nice touch. I was disappointed to find out that there was no wireless in the cottage. Unless I missed it, this was not stated in the description detail. All in all a very nice stay.Read more Hide

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).
