Property code: KT168

An end-of-terrace period cottage enjoying a central location in the harbourside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, just 1.5 miles from the town’s wide stretch of sandy beach.

This Georgian end-terrace house is in a great location in the popular seaside town of Wells. This is a much-loved family home and as such is perfectly set up for families on bucket and spade holidays. The owner has taken care to give the house a contemporary look whilst still retaining its olde world charm.

The maze of narrow streets and alleyways that make up Wells-next-the-Sea offers a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. The quay is nearby - once a busy port, it still retains a number of fishing boats and a sailing club. A miniature railway can take you down to the long sandy beach with its renowned Beach Cafe and long row of colourful beach huts. The area is ideal for walking or bird watching.

The magnificent Holkham Hall is less than 3 miles away to take in the intricate architecture, head down to Holkham Nature Reserve (2 miles), go explore its wilderness or travel down to the sandy shores of Holkham Bay. You could walk the trail that leads from Stiffkey Marshes (5 miles) up to Blakeney (8 miles) then hop in a boat to Blakeney Point to spot the seals.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £100 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

The cottage is in a good central position to all amenities. Cottage is clean enough but furniture & kitchen white goods are very old. Garden overgrown & not pleasant to sit in. Sofa and single beds very uncomfortable.

Fantastic location for a holiday, apart from parking can be a pain when Wells is busy eg bank holidays. House was very nicely furnished and quirky character. Clean and everything we needed for the two of us.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
