Nestled within a woodland setting, this beautiful lodge is the perfect bolthole for a couple looking to celebrate any occasion or just escape it all.

Enjoying a secluded and tranquil woodland location, this stylish, light and spacious lodge makes a fabulous retreat for couples making the most of this beautiful part of Norfolk. Providing welcoming accommodation for two guests, the property is set on a working farm on a private estate, close to a fishing lake and the beautiful River Thet. An idyllic rural getaway to the east of Thetford Forest, the lodge is ideal for keen walkers, nature lovers, anglers and cyclists exploring the lovely countryside of this picturesque area.

Stepping inside this light and refreshing lodge, the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides an ideal space in which to unwind at the end of a wonderful day. With a Smart TV and comfortable seating, the lounge is perfect for snuggling up in the evening with a favourite movie or a good book. The kitchen has a useful range of equipment, ideal for preparing a romantic meal for two which you can share in the charming dining area. The lodge also features a delightful bedroom with a king-size bed, views into the woods, and an en-suite shower room. Bifold doors lead from the lounge onto the decked area, a lovely sheltered spot for sitting back with a glass of wine and watching the sunset. There’s also a charming outdoor dining area nearby. Please note: the outside area is not enclosed, so dogs need to be supervised as the farm is home to livestock including pygmy goats.

The magnificent Thetford Forest offers miles of walks and bike trails, with popular destinations including Harling Woods and Great Hockham (both within 5 miles), St Helen’s Picnic Site, Lynford Stag and Lynford Arboretum (all within 17.5 miles). Other local attractions include Banham Zoo, Bressingham Steam and Gardens, Knettishall Heath Nature Reserve and Melsop Farm Park (all within 10 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Foxglove Lodge! The lodge was very clean & comfortable, and situated in a peaceful, picturesque environment. In the lodge, was everything we may have needed during our stay. We would highly recommend this lodge.
