This former post office has been lovingly converted into a characterful and charming holiday home ideal for a small family located in the picturesque rural village of Northrepps, part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you are just one mile from the coast.

Steeped in history and bursting the character, this traditionally rustic former post office has been sensitively renovated, retaining its quirky country village charm, nestled amongst picturesque rolling hillsides and moments from the magical coastline.

After adventuring around your surroundings, journey through the quaint courtyard garden and through the back door to be welcomed into the traditional farmhouse-style kitchen where you can whip up a delicious feast with all the local produce you’ve collected. Plan tomorrow’s adventure around the dining table in the generous rustic living/dining room and fire up the cosy electric fire housed inside an original fireplace to keep toes toasty as you wind down on the comfortable sofas. As day turns to dusk, retreat upstairs to choose between three lovingly furnished bedrooms bursting with charm and a distinctive traditional aesthetic. Before bed, soothe tired walking muscles with a long soak in the well-appointed family bathroom. Soak up the last of the day’s sun by dining alfresco in the enclosed courtyard and stay up way past bedtime to star gaze into the clear night sky.

The quaint rural village of Northrepps comprises a host of pretty meandering country lanes perfect for a leisurely stroll or to explore on two wheels, and is only 3 miles from the magical North Norfolk coastline. Explore the iconic Pier, beach huts, sandy shoreline and clifftop walks of Cromer Beach (3.5 miles away) and experience a traditional Victorian day at the seaside. Get back to nature at Sheringham Park (7.5 miles) to stroll through heather-clad countryside pathways, or climb to the top of Beeston Bump (8 miles) to be rewarded with panoramic views over the area. From Sheringham, jump aboard the North Norfolk Steam Railway which travels through stunning coastal scenery to the Georgian town of Holt (12 miles).

The cottage has great size rooms and all you need in the kitchen. The sofa looks great, but was uncomfortable . The fireplaces are great features and my wife loved sitting on the patio in the afternoon. The foundry arms is directly opposite serving great food need to book and quiet mid week.

Lovely cottage in a quiet village. Incredibly clean and welcoming. Every facility we needed. Easy access to local beaches and towns. Dog-friendly beach guide was very useful. All we wanted for a relaxing week re-living holidays of many years ago. And don't forget the Cromer crabs!

The cottage was in a lovely village and we liked the fact it had character. However the secure garden wasnt secure as one of our dogs escaped on two occasions. (worrying as cottage is on a main road) Having stayed at many cottages we found the kitchen wasnt especially well equipped ( no microwave dishes, trays, salad bowl, mixing bowl etc). We didnRead moret find a useful information booklet giving local information. Bathroom light sometimes doesnt work on pull switch. Garden needs a little TLC Hide
