A traditional cottage, once a part of the village bakery, offering comfortable accommodation for three guests situated in the harbour village of Blakeney on the River Glaven in North Norfolk.

Nestled in the heart of Blakeney, this traditional cottage was once part of the village bakery and now offers relaxing accommodation for a family yet is cosy enough for a romantic retreat for two. Curl up in front of the crackling wood burner in the lounge, sit down to a home-cooked meal in the well-equipped kitchen/diner seating five or enjoy a sundowner in the courtyard shingled garden. As day turns into night, there are two restful bedrooms to retire to, a double and a single, plus a family bathroom to enjoy a long soak before sinking into the sheets. There is also parking available.

If you fancy a bite to eat, the village of Blakeney offers a tempting deli as well as a selection of pubs and cafes and an array of shops to browse. Spend a leisurely afternoon wandering along the banks of the river towards the coast or hop aboard one of the seal-spotting boat trips from the village quay which head west to the nearby National Trust nature reserve.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
