Surrounded by rolling countryside, this rurally situated converted barn is hugely spacious and offers delightful holiday accommodation for four people. It can also be hired out with its neighbouring cottage, Alethorpe Barn, for larger group escapes. Outside you'll be able to enjoy peace and seclusion from the paved patio and fields beyond, with plenty of off-road parking. It's the perfect rural hideaway in North Norfolk.

Just opposite the accommodation you'll find Pensthorpe Nature Park, where you can discover lots about the environment, animals, and conservation. The traditional market town of Fakenham is also just over 2 miles from the barn, boasting plenty of shops and restaurants for you to discover, as well as its infamous market which is not to be missed if you're in the area!

The North Norfolk coast is slightly further afield where you can enjoy a day together by the sea at either Sheringham (19 miles) or Cromer (22 miles), or head inland to Swaffham (19 miles) to discover one of Norfolk's most famous market towns.

Wanstead Barn is a beautiful, spacious yet cosy place to stay. The views and wildlife that surround it are wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting and watching the sunsets and the kestrel through the very large windows.

Well equipped, good location. Clean but looks spartan rather than homely. Heating very effective. Spacious.

What an amazing location and a complete escape with stunning scenery. We saw lots of wildlife during the daytime and at night the stars took your breathe away. There is no light pollution to spoil this dazzling show. Each morning we enjoyed a cuppa on the top floor looking out the hall windows over the fields. It was great to see and experience theRead more farmers working and planting their potatoes. I only wish we had found this before for our holidays. Thank you for a very special time. Hide

Lovely spacious warm cottage in a peaceful setting. Very clean and well presented. We arrived just prior to the second lockdown and were therefore able to finish our break in this very tranquil setting with everything we needed to hand.

Cottage in a very peaceful location with plenty of wildlife (muntjac and roe deer, hares, partridges, barn owl etc.) in the fields around. Ideal centre for exploring the North Norfolk coast from Hunstanton to Cromer. Had all the comforts of home with plenty of space to spread out. Would happily recommend and hope to go back before too long.

The cottage is in a great location and is very quiet. Ideal for the dog with walks outside the door - we didn't need the lead. It is very warm and spacious. It is semi-detached but designed in a way that we never heard our neighbour in the 3 days over New Year.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
