Surrounded by rolling countryside, this rurally situated converted barn is hugely spacious and offers delightful holiday accommodation for four people. It can also be hired out with its neighbouring cottage, Alethorpe Barn, for larger group escapes. The open-plan living space downstairs is flooded with light and has plenty of room for socialising together, whilst on the first floor there are two large bedrooms both with en-suites. Outside you'll be able to enjoy peace and seclusion from the paved patio and fields beyond, with plenty of off-road parking. It's the perfect rural hideaway in North Norfolk.

Just opposite the accommodation you'll find Pensthorpe Nature Park, where you can discover lots about the environment, animals, and conservation. The traditional market town of Fakenham is also just over 2 miles from the barn, boasting plenty of shops and restaurants for you to discover, as well as its infamous market which is not to be missed if you're in the area!

The North Norfolk coast is slightly further afield where you can enjoy a day together by the sea at either Sheringham (19 miles) or Cromer (22 miles), or head inland to Swaffham (19 miles) to discover one of Norfolk's most famous market towns.

  • Can be rented with adjoining property "Alethopre Barn" - KT002 to accommodate up to 8 guests.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead when walking around the working farm due to many species of rare ground nesting birds in the area.
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Absolutely brilliant barn so very clean and very well laid out . So peaceful not a sound to be heard . We loved everything about it in fact rebooked for a week starting 30th of August .

Highly recommend this beautifully kept and well equipped cottage in wonderful rural surroundings. Very spacious accommodation including the bedrooms and a cleverly designed first floor landing which provides somewhere to sit whilst taking in the views over the countryside. Enjoyed a very happy week in this good location for visiting nature parks, homes, gardens, and North Norfolk coast and countryside. Very cold Northerly winds were unfortunate for us, but Wanstead Barn was warm to return to. Short farm-track to Barns is well maintained, and the absence of town or traffic noise a delight. (lots of bird sounds & occasRead moreional RAF flyover). Views over adjacent Wheat (?) fields wonderful. Only aware we had a neighbour by presence of their cars. Morrisons store close. Hide
