This cosy cottage lies nestled in a quaint Norfolk village, offering the perfect romantic escape for couples who love exploring coast and country.

This pretty two-bedroomed cottage, sleeping three guests, can be found at the heart of the village of Binham, just 4 miles from the spectacular North Norfolk coastline. Carefully thought out with contemporary styling and light restful colours, it is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday near the sea. A cosy lounge with log burner effect fire is a cosy retreat on cold winter evenings and the small front garden and courtyard at the rear provide an excellent space for al fresco dining during the warmer months.

Being right in the centre of the village, you are only a short walk from the local pub and shop. Mentioned in the Domesday book, the area also has the monastic ruins of the spectacular Benedictine St. Mary’s Priory nearby, now managed by English Heritage. Discover the continuous scandals attached to the priory and visit the Binham Market Cross, the site of an annual fair for many centuries that only came to an end in the last century.

Days out include a day trip to the charming Georgian town of Holt (7 miles) as well as the larger town of King’s Lynn (30 miles), where you can spend hours admiring the stunning architecture, strolling along its cobbled streets and tranquil waterfront. Beach lovers can take a 5-mile drive to the seaside resort of Wells-next-the-Sea where you will find a lovely sandy beach as well as access to the glorious National Nature Reserves of the north Norfolk coastline.

We had a great time at Well Cottage, we had a great welcome and Alex seemed to really want us to be comfortable. Plenty of literature was left in the house so we knew about the local attractions. Everything was fine, the location is great and although parking wasn't guaranteed we had no problem parking right outside the house every day. Lovely stayRead more, and we would go back. Hide

Well Cottage is basically excellent value for money. The accommodation is comfortable with an extremely good shower and a very comfy bed.The on street parking is an issue because traffic speeds along the street and the safety of your vehicle is a worry. When the front garden is tidied and made more pleasant to sit in the cottage will be very good iRead morendeed. Hide

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
