Nestling in a lovely secluded spot, this light, spacious and comfy barn conversion offers a perfect rural retreat set in a tranquil and picturesque hamlet in the heart of the Norfolk countryside.

A stunning renovated barn, part of a former farm in Bircham Tofts, is a lovely place to spend your holidays. The barn is flooded with light and finished to a high standard with wood and stone flooring and oak doors.

The tiny hamlet is just half a mile from the main village of Great Bircham so only a short walk from the Kings Head, a smart gastropub on the Sandringham Estate. The actual manor house at Sandringham is 7 miles away, while Houghton Hall & Gardens is another local country home and is 4 miles from the property. Snettisham Park is a fun place to take the kids and only 6 miles from the cottage.

Venture into the centre of King's Lynn (15 miles) for a day exploring the town. The sandy beach at Heacham is 8 miles and Hunstanton is past that (11 miles) from which you can pick up the Norfolk Coast Path and discover spectacular scenery and nature reserves that sit on the edge of this region.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a fabulous week at this property. Plenty of space to relax for adults and kids alike. Also plenty if room for 2 small dogs to find a quiet spot in the shade. Excellent location to explore further afield from walks at Snettisham coast to Brancaster beach and Holkham Hall. The gas bbq was a very welcome addition which we used almost every day.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
