Make a romantic retreat to this inviting bolthole and explore the beautiful Norfolk countryside and forest. Set in Northacre, about 7 miles from Attleborough, the one-bedroom property sleeps two guests plus a dog and is an annexe adjoining the owner’s home, but still enjoys its privacy. From here, head 3 miles to Thompson, known for its famous 5.5-mile pingo trail. Pingos are ponds that date back to the last ice age and offer unique habitats to rare wildlife. Also venture 3 miles to Thetford Forest, the largest lowland pine forest in Britain, with its many walks and trails.

Wander into this welcoming abode to find yourselves in a light-filled, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Slide the great glass doors open in here on warm, sunny days or settle on the soft seating for cosy nights in front of a good film on the Smart TV during the autumn and winter months. Take the fresh Norfolk ingredients you have bought over to the kitchen area ready to prepare a delicious dinner later on. Dine together at the table and discuss your plans for the following day. When you are ready to retire for the night, head through to the king-size bedroom, which can also be arranged as a twin if discussed in advance. Find you have a shower room close by. On sunny days, enjoy morning coffee out into your enclosed courtyard garden. Find parking for two cars at this holiday home.

Drive 13 miles into Thetford to visit the renowned Dad’s Army Museum. Venture 14 miles to Grime’s Graves, a large Neolithic flint mine complex, or the same distance to the picturesque Lynford Arboretum, both within Thetford Forest. Plan at least one day out in the colourful city of Norwich, 22 miles away, with its wealth of history, superb shopping areas and many leisure facilities.

A lovely, quiet, spacious annexe for a break away. Place was well equipped and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed relaxing out in the sunny garden and going on walks with the dog. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this for peaceful break away, yet close enough to explore other parts of Norfolk.

Beautiful accommodation with quality furnishings and very welcoming owners. A very peaceful rural setting and if wanting the coastal areas must be prepared to drive. Best nights sleep ever due to peaceful location.

The most northerly county in the East of England, Norfolk is a land of beautiful contrasts. From the swooning reed beds and endless maze of waterways in the Norfolk Broads; the unspoilt stretches of fens and shingle spits where bird and wildlife thrive; a famous royal palace and the historic cathedral city of Norwich, this enticing area of England is just waiting to be discovered. Visit Sandringham Palace and see where the Queen lives or find out where lavender grows; you could journey to one of the largest seal haul outs in Europe at Blakeney Point or have a traditional day at the seaside at Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cathedral gilded city of Norwich is a wonderful place to lose yourself either walking the ramparts of Norwich Castle or the RAF Air Defence Radar Museum. The city has an exceptional array of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Well connected to the national rail and road network, Norfolk is easily accessible from London, the M25 and from major city terminals.

Norfolk is characterised by its horizons and big skies, straight highways and rural trappings. Also, when it comes to attractions, visitors to the county will be spoilt for choice. If you love animals and birds, head to RSPB Titchwell Marsh, or the Cley-Next-The-Sea. With such a long coastline Norfolk boasts some magnificent stretches of beach – favourites include Cromer, Old Hunstanton, Wells-Next-The Sea, the dunes of Winterton-on-Sea, and Brancaster (a favourite for dog owners).

There are so many places to visit and activities to get involved in on a Norfolk holiday. We have some lovely properties including country cottages, farm conversions, large family houses, apartments and surburban home from homes in our collection. Why not find your perfect holiday home today?
