Easy Access

Some of our holiday cottages have a downstairs bedroom and shower or bathroom. Those who find the stairs difficult may prefer these cottages.

Security Deposits

Some of the cottage owners ask us to take a refundable security deposit. This is usually £100 and is generally held against a credit or debit card. It will be used to cover any damage or if there is excessive cleaning required on departure. It can be paid at any time up to your arrival. It will then be repaid within a week of your departure.

Changeover Days

The holiday cottages have a stated changeover day of either Friday or Saturday. During the normal holiday weeks, this is generally fixed but outside of these times we will be as flexible as we can about the start day – so please just ask.

Holiday Cottage Rating

We use a ‘leaf’ rating which is based on our understanding of the Tourist Board Quality Assurance Star Scheme. Where a holiday cottage has also been inspected by the Tourist Board, their grade will be displayed on the property page.

Short Breaks

These are usually available outside the normal school holidays and in most cases can start on any day. They are charged on a % basis rather than prorata. So for example a 3 night stay will be 70% of the prevailing full week price, 4 nights 80%, 5 nights 90%, 6 and 7 nights 100%.

Owner Confirmation

Under some circumstances, we have to check availability with the cottage owners prior to confirming a booking. In all other cases the availability as shown on the calendars is up to date.
