Mundesley is a pretty Norfolk village east of Cromer. It is a popular seaside resort with miles of sandy beach to enjoy and play on throughout the year. The village is characterised by cottages with thatched roofs and stone walls. There is a handy High Street with shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a cute independent cinema. Mundesley meets the North Sea at a low dip in the tall cliffs that afford you spectacular views as far as Happisburgh Lighthouse.
Mundesley is 9 miles from the unspoilt, seaside town of Cromer. With its fun pier, its traditional promenade and stalls selling seafood, fish & chips and ice creams, as well as its handy shops, the town is worth a visit. After dark its offers some lovely pubs, restaurants and a small multi-screen cinema. Also head to Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea for nature reserves and birdspotting, and to Caister-on-Sea, Winterton-on-Sea and Great Yarmouth if you love beaches.
