Tern Cottage, Wells-next-the-sea, Norfolk coast a superb holiday cottage sleeping 6

Tern Cottage

We very much enjoyed Tern Cottage, location and beach hut. Discount card is a great idea and encourages trying different places. We have been to North Norfolk many many times and always finds new places to visit as well as old favourites.

Flint Cottage

It was a beautiful cottage, fitted out to a high standard. Everything we needed and more. Superb decor, tastefully done. Lovely garden. Taps in bathroom wrong way round tho'. Loved the whole holiday. The location, although no amenities was good. Enjoyed meals at Barnham Arms, Sandringham House Restaurant and Sculthorpe Mill pub. Enjoyed Holt for good galleries, cafes and shops. Thought Wells-next-the sea was interesting. Did not like Hunstanton,a bit seedy the area we saw plus £4.50 for 2 scoop icecream. Enjoyed amateur musical production of Sister Act at Fakenham. Plenty of large houses for visiting in area.

Monks Cottage

A very nice but small cottage. ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ The cottage is in a lovely little village with a great pub and is very conveniently located for Wells and Burnham Market. The cottage itself is lovely but it could do with a few upgrades such as a shower in the bathroom. It has a well appointed kitchen and some nice outside space. Overall I would definitely recommend it.

Thought the cottage was of an excellent standard and really appreciated the small touches of milk, wine and biscuits as well as all the baby items (stair gates / bath toys).

Flint Drift

The i pod speaker in the dining area does not work well at all. Other than that everything worked well and we had a super time. The weather was good. We can recommend the Wells Crab House restaurant. It is excellent and booking is essential. Viewing the open gardens in Wells was excellent too.

Spring Beck Lodge

Good photographs of the properties interior and a good description of the property along with what essential items that it contains eg dishwasher, washing machine etc, helps making the choice of a holiday cottage more easier. It is also helpful to read up on other information within the surrounding area and to look at the reviews made by former holiday makers. We've enjoyed our stay this last fortnight. We appreciate that much thought has been given to provide and equip the essentials that holiday makers need for self catering. We loved the location of the lodge, especially the outside veranda and spent many hours overlooking the beck watching the occasional wildlife of the ducks, heron and woodland birds. Got excited to see the jays, great spotted woodpecker and often the kingfisher. The squirrels were amusing too.Spring Beck Lodge has been a perfect retreat to just relax and unwind.
